Sympathy Phrases In Spanish And English

Cartagena: magic, history and Spite

" ... I simply had to take a step inside the wall to see it in all its grandeur in light mauve six in the afternoon, and I could not repress the feeling of have been born again. " Gabriel García Márquez

A month ago I traveled to Colombia for work and I admit that I loved. I returned to Bogota delicious food, wide streets and historic, friendly people who treat you so well that you feel misplaced because one is not used to such kindness. In short, I returned to the city where my parents grew up and where I lived for two years a memorable Christmas.
But I have spoken in Bogota in this blog. I would like to tell you something about Cartagena, my second destination on this trip and did not know.
not speak much of the urban face of Cartagena, because I had no chance to know her very well. Only repeat what one of my colleagues said, is a beautiful skyline. But if I could travel the historic center several times and came to the conclusion that it is a place to walk long lost pleasure. When transiting the territory protected by the walls felt that ran the ways of a story well told, where magical realism prevails and the charm of ancient times. Some typical locations are the Vaults, the Clock Tower, the Cathedral and the Temple and Plaza de San Pedro Claver.
This historic center is also a cultural universe where you stumble at every turn with galleries and museums, living statues and dancers mapalé. I admit that it's
mapalé was what caught my attention. This dance is an exchange Afro dance, seduction and rhythm between man and woman, which ends in a frantic motion, hips and entire body to the beat of drums. The dancers move to the sound of music that comes from the depths of the earth, the ocean and the center of your soul, all at the same time. Do not know if it's a dance that anyone can learn, although I would like. I feel surprisingly well mapalé must be extremely liberating. Tomorrow
tell you a little more of that Cartagena gave García Márquez feel reborn. And the city, as well as historical and cultural, also has a knack for recreating the extraordinary. Joanna Ruiz Méndez
